A Nifty Projector Setup

While browsing through the Gaming Spaces Flickr Group, I noticed a projector setup that’s slightly different from others I’ve seen. Instead of having the projector pointed directly downward, this guy uses a mirror to reflect the image down to the gaming surface.
The reasoning behind this particular setup is that when the DM wants to play a video, or even a static image that’s not a map, the mirror can be moved so that the projector can display on a screen, rather than on the gaming table.
If you want to see more images of this setup, go take a look at Graggster’s Game Area.
Also, I noticed that he uses Map Tool by RPTools. Having seen what he’s done with that program, I downloaded it for myself to see how I could set it up so that I get a DM’s view on one screen, and a player’s view on another. I’ll be writing about that in another post though.
